In 2016 we focused on replacing the broken and sinking portions of the deck, replacing the drains, and securing the fence around the deck. Our contractor did a great job and now the deck is free of stubbed toes and crumbling concrete. We also addressed improper drainage and pooling water on the pool deck. This was just the beginning.
I know its hard to get excited about little things, like pool covers. But that’s what we do at IPPA. The new cover will help extend the life of our pool and the pool pump motors. The poor things once ran all year long. Now, they get to rest in the off-season.
The 2017 Pool Season begins on May 1 and runs through September 30. We are hard at work making improvements to the pool.
Its hard to believe that yet another year has passed us by. Our annual meeting was held on November 1, 2016. Our agenda included the annual budget, elections, and voting on a special assessment for capital improvements. So much to do; so little time.
Inman Park Pool 2017 Polar Bear Plunge.
Members: Lifeguards will not be at the pool after Labor Day. That means that from September 6 – September 30, the pool will be posted, “Swim at your own risk.” Children under 14 may not swim in the pool without adult supervision. Pool hours will remain from 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM
The Inman Park Pool is professionally managed by our friends at Swim Atlanta.
Take it from these three — summer isn’t the same without good friends and a pool!
