Its hard to believe that yet another year has passed us by.
Our annual meeting was held on November 1, 2016. Our agenda included the annual budget, elections, and voting on a special assessment for capital improvements. So much to do; so little time.
Our budget and the special assessment passed. So you can expect some big changes over the next year. We also have 3 new board members.
Krista Baldwin is returning for another 2-year term. As an at-large member this past year, Krista has been critical in helping us spruce up areas of the pool, including the bathrooms and, just recently, our clubhouse. We know that you will enjoy the updates to the space this spring.
Chris McEntee was newly elected this year, along with Joe Castelano and Julie Bookman. They will also be serving 2-year terms.
Joe has lived in the neighborhood for the past 21 years and his family has held a pool membership since its inception. With three teenage children in the house, Joe understands firsthand the benefits the pool affords to our members and the community.
Julie is also a long-time Inman Park resident, having lived there for 26 years! She is a self-proclaimed “water maniac.” The former director of the lit center at the Margaret Mitchell House, Julie is now a freelance journalist, focusing on the performing arts, books and authors. Julie is interested in maintaining the pool’s high standards and relaxed vibe. As we all know, there is always room for improvement. Or new board members will definitely make a difference over the next 2 years.
As for our capital improvement projects, stay tuned. We will be issuing updates and explaining our vision and our progress in the coming weeks.
